Cookie bar

When users visit the website, this popup will notify them about its cookies and privacy policy.
If Admin didn’t enable the Module from CMS, customers aren’t able to see the Cookies bar
If the customer is using a non-Californian IP, they will see the Cookies bar just if Admin enabled the Cookies for other places rather than California

Privacy Settings tab in MyAccount

Delete Account - users can submit a deletion request for their personal data.
Download personal data - the cookies log can be downloaded here only in comma-separated values format (CSV)
Opt-out of selling personal data - the customer can choose to opt-out or opt-in of selling their personal data.

Known Issues

The original extension functionality of sending email notifications to the manager and the customer is not working correctly. It needs SMTP for sending the mails otherwise the deletion action from the Admin panel will fail.

Configuration

Please note that this extension requires the original Amasty CCPA extension to function, you can get/purchase it from the official website.

To configure the extension follow the instructions as described in the original extension official documentation.

Some specific Configurations:

Download and Import the GeoIP data from the admin panel

To allow CookiesBar in only California, you need to configure the GeoIP extension.

In the admin panel -> stores -> amasty extensions -> geo ip data -> download and import

Approving or Denying delete requests

To be able to use it, you should install the STMP module to enable sending an email otherwise, this functionality won’t work.

Adding a city to Californians' cities list

Tip for developers: in case you want to add or change a city name to be recognized as Californians you can do it by modifying the file in

AmastyCCPA/Model/Data/CaliforniaCities.php
